Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team focuses on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare.We are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in all areas of software engineering: distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience. In this role, you will enable global development teams by driving design of major service components, working with engineering managers and TPMs, and providing direct guidance to more junior team members. You are able to go from high level system design, writing architectural documentation and driving engineering peer reviews to hands-on prototyping, code reviews and project bootstrapping.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship on U.S. soil is required. This position requires you to be eligible to receive a federal security clearance which requires you to be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of total experience with software development
  • Java, JavaScript, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Prior Hands-on experience developing cloud services and tools such as Oracle Cloud, AWS or Azure
  • Solid experience with SQL in database design, developing stored procedure, views, joins, triggers, and various queries and optimizing performance
  • Strong experience with Github
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership and drive responsibilities listed in the job description

Responsibilities

Our senior engineers are the people who can work independently and provide technical leadership to the organization. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements. You understand operational excellence and know how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team. You recommend and justify major changes to new and existing products and establish consensus with the team. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • High level system design and architectural documentation
  • Driving engineering peer/code reviews
  • Prototyping/Spiking new functionality for proof of concepts and technical feasibility
  • Working with Engineering and Product Management to help create and maintain roadmap

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong full stack web development background and experience deploying and troubleshooting in the cloud. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with a team of software engineers responsible for the software design, development, and operations for new and existing products. You should be willing to contribute anywhere within our tech stack and have an eye for clean coding best practices as well. We collaborate frequently, whether it's through backlog grooming sessions, sprint/quarterly planning, and example mapping sessions. US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
