Description:Responsibilities

Basic Purpose

Supports the management of compensation programs and nonqualified plans including long-term incentive plans and deferred compensation plans. Conducts analysis of jobs, wages, salaries, and incentives to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the company's pay practices. Makes recommendations regarding salary grades or market rates for specific jobs and assists in the development of incentive programs. Reviews and recommends salary increases for compliance with company policy and budget. Participates in and/or conducts wage surveys. Prepares and supports development of materials in support of the company's regulatory filings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts analysis of jobs, wages, salaries, and incentives to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the company's pay practices.

Creates job descriptions, performs job evaluations and market research. Evaluates job worth using job evaluation techniques to determine grades and pay ranges.

Manages and administers the annual compensation review process and related systems partnering with HRIS teams on annual system enhancements, system maintenance, data loads, reporting and data updates throughout the year on the system and process.

Provides technical leadership, guidance, and support to internal staff to ensure adherence with the compensation philosophy and to address changes or improvements to current compensation practices and procedures.

Provides compensation support for regulatory filings including coordination with internal stakeholders and compilation of timely and accurate data as necessary.

Conducts and/or participates in wage surveys to evaluate market-competitiveness of wages and salaries.

Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related field from an accredited school plus 7 years of experience in compensation design and administration.

Candidates that do not possess a bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 11 years of related work experience.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of:

  • Executive compensation programs and related considerations (such as LTIP, nonqualified benefits, 409A and other regulations).
  • Data gathering, analysis, forecasting, and modeling techniques and applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
  • Project management including project leadership, task identification, scheduling and cost/expenditure identification. Skills such as:
  • Consulting with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
  • Interacting with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Presenting alternatives and recommendations.

Equipment and Applications
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
General office environment. No special physical demands required.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $100,700 (Min) to $118,400 (Mid); Up to 15% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
