We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Clerk to join our team and assist in managing various payroll clients.

Job Summary: The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager in the day-to-day payroll operations. This includes processing payroll, managing payroll data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and addressing client inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for various clients accurately and timely.
  • Maintain and update payroll records information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies by collecting and verifyinh employee time records, hours worked, and any relevant data for accurate payroll processing for weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
  • Handle payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, and other adjustments.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from clients and employees promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with audits, reconciliations, and special projects as needed.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in ADP payroll software as a PRACTITIONER role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Most speak and write English and Spanish
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
