Being a Behavior Support Specialist for Devereux PA Children's Services has its Advantages
You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need at our CARES School located in Downingtown, PA.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)
Everyday as a Behavior Support Specialist you will:

Center for Autism Research and Educational Services (CARES), located in Downingtown, PA is seeking Instructional Support Specialists to provide direct behavioral intervention to student. We offer an environment that is supportive, educational and clinically focused. This position will give you the opportunity to work directly with children diagnosed with Autism 1:1 within a structured classroom environment with Special Education Teachers, Behavior Analyst and Autism professionals. You will increase your knowledge and improve your skills related to behavior intervention, functional assessment and collaboration with a team that is inclusive and individualized.CARES serves up to 60 children, ages 5 through 22, with a confirmed primary diagnosis of Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD/NOS).

Qualifications:EDUCATION: Registered Behavior Technician certification or RBT eligible; required. Bachelors degree in a human service field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of at least one year previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting.
