Position openings on 1st and 2nd shift
The Mold Tech III plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing plastic Injection and Thermoforming molds efficiently to meet quality standards within the scheduled timeframe at Cambro.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs Injection Mold repair, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and mold disassembly/reassembly.
- Repairs molds with minimal supervision ensuring safety measures are followed.
- Supports manufacturing departments in mold functionality and troubleshooting.
- Completes projects/assignments as directed by supervisors.
- Inspects and analyzes mold needs using precision instruments and machinery.
- Records maintenance information accurately.
- Operates various machines such as lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
- Meets deadlines efficiently and follows safety procedures diligently.
- Interprets documents and communicates effectively within the team.
- Executes job duties satisfactorily and maintains reliable attendance.
- Embraces company culture and values.
- Understands departmental goals and contributes towards achieving them.
- Performs other required duties as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be flexible to work overtime and accommodate schedule changes as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED.
- Five to ten years of experience in mold maintenance.
- Proficient in operating various tools and reading blueprints.
- Skilled in hot runner manifold systems and math functions related to molds.
- Basic understanding of hardness principles and tooling solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Basic computer skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree or higher.
- Experience with AS400.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The job requires various physical activities and protective equipment.
- Driving vehicles and operating machinery.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and heights.
- Use of visual and auditory protective gear.
- Walking on uneven surfaces and foot controls operation.
PPE Requirements
- Safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and face covering.
