Summary/Objective


The Dishwasher is responsible for various tasks including but not limited to cleaning utensils, pots and pans, equipment, floors, and workstations.

S(he) will work cooperatively with other members of the department to ensure quality execution in cleanliness and sanitation protocols of the kitchen and dining areas, while providing excellent service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.

S(he) must follow current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, as well as the Company's established policies and procedures, or as instructed by the

Director of Dining Services.

Essential Functions

  • Assists with cleaning the kitchen and maintain a sanitary work area
  • Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, etc. using dishwashers or by hand
  • Ensures all kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils are clean, professional, and in an orderly condition at all times
  • Assists with bussing tables and cleaning the dining rooms
  • Places clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in proper storage areas
  • Removes trash to designated areas
  • Assists in unloading and unpacking supply trucks
  • Assists in kitchen prep and stocking the bistro and coffee bar
  • Assists in the set up and breakdown of community events
  • Ensures the workspace meets or exceeds all established sanitation and safety standards
  • Logs and records equipment temperatures
  • Requests supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and dishwashing duties
  • Other duties as assigned by management

To be qualified for the position of Dishwasher, an Associate will need to possess the ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to one's self or others.
