Responsibilities:

Program, Set-up and Run CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders)

Use MasterCam programming software to create and optimize CNC programs

Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.

Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the appropriate tools needed to meet specifications

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Work closely with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot and solve production issues

Assists with designing and writing machine programs and ensures program accuracy

Inspects and deburrs parts to ensure they meet blueprint parts using proper measuring instruments.

Maintains quality and safety standards, keeps records and maintains tools and supplies.

Operates conventional mills and lathes, drill presses, band saws, and punch presses when needed.

Assigned other tasks by management

Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED, Trade school preferred with working knowledge of CAD

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Machinist with 2 years as a Programmer

Tight tolerance experience (+/ preferred

Experience with production processes such as cutting, molding, forming or assembly

Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Ability to read and interpret complex blue prints as well as, ability to read G and M code

Ability to cross-train and work in other areas

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work effectively as a team
