Provide leadership and support to classroom teachers and administrative staff that result in increased student achievement.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
Master's Degree
Texas Teaching Certification
Mid-Management or Principal Certification

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to interpret data to improve student achievement
Ability to design instructional improvement strategies from student performance data

Knowledge and experience working with the master schedule

Experience:
Five years experience as a secondary classroom teacher, preferably in a core content area.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1.Coordinate, supervise the implementation, and evaluate the instructional programming for the campus including parent outreach.

2.Coordinate, supervise the implementation and evaluate the assessment program for the campus including benchmark and other state required testing as assigned by the principal.

3.Develop and disseminate data from assessments such as STAAR/EOC, CBAs, benchmarks, Advanced Placement, SAT/ACT, and other state required testing to pertinent staff in a timely manner for use in making instructional decisions.

4.Review and evaluate TEKS Resource System to ensure that it reflects alignment; assist in revisions as needed.
5.Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum services and initiatives.
6.Coordinate school wide planning and continuous improvement through Professional Learning Communities (PLC).

7.Assist the principal in designing and maintaining a systemic staff development program with ongoing support for classroom teachers based on professional development initiatives.

8.Readily provide assistance to the teachers and the principal in curriculum and instruction.
9.Coordinate new teachers' orientation.
10.Maintain effective communication with the staff, administration, parents and students.
11.Assist with developing the master schedule.
12.Assist with development and updating the course description booklet.
13.Assist principal and assistant principal(s) in budgeting and fiscal matters.
14.Serve as Coordinator for the Advanced Placement Program.
15.Carry out assigned responsibilities in a professional manner.
16.Share responsibility for community relations.
17.Enforce school policies in a fair and consistent manner.
18.Maintain professional growth.
