We are on the lookout for multiple Office Specialist 2's to integrate into the teams of the Office of Child Welfare in Multnomah County (Gresham and Portland areas).

What's required for qualification

  • Two years of clerical experience encompassing keyboarding, word processing, or similar document-generating tasks; OR
  • An associate degree in any field; OR
  • An equivalent blend of education and experience.

Your key responsibilities at a glance

As a part of the workforce within the organization, you hold a significant role in the lives of Oregon's most vulnerable young individuals and families. Your commitment contributes to building a Child Welfare system that enhances the safety, health, and overall well-being of children and young adults.

As a Business Support (Office Specialist 2), you will:

  • Maintain databases and tracking systems relevant to the operational functions of the Child Welfare office.
  • Accurately input data into various computer databases (e.g., OR-Kids).
  • Assemble and furnish all case materials as per court orders or requests from Caseworkers and/or Supervisors.
  • Process diverse forms in compliance with policies, procedures, and crucial timelines.
  • Leverage your top-notch communication skills to correspond effectively with Caseworkers, Supervisors, other pertinent staff, and clients.
  • Offer support to colleagues within the Business Staff team.
  • Contribute as a valued member of the Business Staff unit, delivering essential administrative support to caseworkers, supervisors, community partners, vendors, and clients.
  • Access various prospects for learning, advancement, and personal growth.
