Steelcase is currently looking for a Senior Plant Accountant to join the team at the Athens, AL manufacturing facility.

As a member of the local Finance team within the North America Operations Finance organization, your main objective will be to offer financial decision support to key stakeholders in operations and finance. The local finance team plays a crucial role in ensuring that product costing, operational KPIs, and financial reports accurately reflect the operation.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Collaborate with business leaders, corporate finance, and cross-functional teams to establish and meet financial targets supporting operational financial metrics
  • Assist operations leadership in making informed financial decisions regarding capital investments
  • Conduct various analyses requiring a profound understanding of the business and advanced analytical skills
  • Contribute to the development, reporting, and enhancement of operations metrics
  • Summarize, analyze, and present financial results to leaders
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Exceptional proficiency in Excel
  • Demonstrated high expertise in financial and accounting knowledge
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Tableau, and/or SAP
  • Background in Operations Finance and product costing
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or MAcc qualifications
