- Saturday & Sunday 11am-9pm
Job Summary:
We are in search of a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to be part of our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will have the important task of providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, aiding them in leading fulfilling lives and enhancing their independence.
Your role will involve assisting individuals with daily activities, personal care, community integration, and building meaningful relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities to ensure their well-being and comfort.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and medication administration.
- Support individuals in daily activities like meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation while promoting independence.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with the team to achieve goals.
- Create a positive environment by encouraging socialization and community involvement.
- Document and maintain accurate records of individual progress and incidents with confidentiality in mind.
- Work closely with families and other professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills in providing quality care.
- Adhere to regulations and policies for health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, additional certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships.
- Compassionate nature and a desire to make a difference.
- Ability to adapt and remain professional in challenging situations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
