Job Summary:The Emergency Department Nurse provides direct patient care to patients in the emergency department, ensuring that their physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs are met. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective care delivery and patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN licensure in Maryland or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in emergency services or critical care
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
