We are accepting applications for a Financial Analyst/Administrative Professional 2 within the Division of Oil & Gas, headquartered at Fountain Square, assigned to Franklin county.

What you will do:

  • Examines &/or analyzes accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, & conformance to reporting & procedural standards: determines coding for transactions, researches & analyzes transaction errors (e.g. budget, coding) & resolves without external involvement
  • Coordinates & performs a variety of fiscal activities related to accounts payable & accounts receivable & performs support services functions
  • Records & analyzes information using spreadsheets, databases, & accounting software
  • Relieves superior of routine administrative duties by performing a variety of support functions: coordinates, analyzes & controls inventory system for Division central office & statewide field offices
  • Manages business functions of Division's Fiscal office: coordinates and maintains the Division's fleet management of statewide vehicles


Starting hourly pay of $23.49/hour with multiple pay increases over your first 7 years of service and an ending hourly pay of $30.55/hour.

30 months of experience or 30 months of training in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.


  • OR completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field AND 6 months of experience or 6 months of training in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software.
  • OR 12 months of experience as Financial Associate, 66561.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above

NOTE:
Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
