Job Details

ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • Conducts specialized and intricate research and laboratory tests and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Utilizes independent judgment to apply scientific techniques effectively.
  • Assists in designing protocols, explores alternative experimental methods, and helps in planning research processes.
  • Trains others in utilizing laboratory techniques and equipment correctly.
  • Handles equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
  • Stays updated on research advancements, analyzes data, and maintains quality assurance in laboratory processes.
  • Documents study results, compiles and analyzes data, and presents findings through charts and graphs.
  • Oversees the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • May need to work with hazardous agents, following specific safety measures and potentially receiving immunizations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and at least two years of research experience, or equivalent combination of education and training.

NOTE:

This role requires on-site presence at Emory University; remote work is not available.
