Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The Clinic RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the care delivery team headed by the physician and have specialized knowledge, skills and ability pertinent to ambulatory care patient needs. Scope of performance includes prioritization and triage of care delivery, implementing established standing orders and protocols, performing procedures and therapies consistent with training and licensure.

Clinic RN position is shared between 2 Primary Care Clinics : Northfield Family Medicine and Green Valley Ranch (clinics located within 10 minutes of travel between each other) .

Duties: Triage calls, MyChart messages, and Walk-in Patients. Manage the Hypertension and Diabetic management program. Conduct patient education in regards to medication management (teaching, self-injection training, medication reconciliation). Lab results out reach. Be a medication safety champion, and a clinical resource for medical assistants.

Minimum Qualifications:

ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required

Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required

Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
One year experience in a clinic setting or inpatient acute hospital setting with all age groups.
