Training as a Machinist

Machinist (m/f/d) produce precise metal components for technical products of all kinds using Meridian. They set up turning, milling, and grinding machines and modify CNC machine programs accordingly. Then they clamp metal parts and tools into the machines, align them, and start the production process. They regularly check whether the dimensions and surface quality of the manufactured workpieces meet the specifications.

If any malfunctions occur, they use suitable testing methods and tools to determine the cause and promptly find a solution.

They also perform maintenance and inspection tasks on the machines, focusing mainly on mechanical components.

Requirements:

  • Completed secondary school education or good qualifying secondary school leaving certificate
  • Manual dexterity
  • Creative spatial thinking
  • Precise and accurate work style
  • Teamwork

Duration of training: 3.5 years

Start of training: September 1st
