Job Description:

Join us in a pivotal role that demands a mix of legal, regulatory, and compliance expertise, coupled with exceptional communication and leadership capabilities essential for effectively managing risks across the group's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intermediary Role: Act as a bridge between corporate compliance management and the oversight of subsidiary companies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations like Money Laundering Prevention and Information Protection, serving as the Compliance Officer for pertinent affairs.
  • Design and Documentation: Develop and document risk evaluation and internal control systems to uphold corporate ethics and compliance standards.
  • Adoption and Monitoring: Execute and oversee tailored compliance initiatives based on individual company contexts and risk exposure.
  • Investigations: Carry out investigations mandated by the Corporate Risk and Compliance Department, ensuring follow-through on action plans.
  • Policy Supervision: Supervise compliance with corporate policies, flag any inconsistencies, and define corrective measures.
  • Policy Adoption: Ensure incorporation of corporate policies and alignment with directives from senior management.
  • Review Processes: Coordinate closely with internal oversight units to streamline review procedures.
  • Remediation: Lead remedial actions for internal control system findings related to ethical and compliance issues.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on compliance status to company leadership and the Corporate Risk and Compliance Function.
  • Ethics Commission Support: Assist the Company's Ethics Commission by conducting investigations and preparing essential reports.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify and communicate ethics or compliance risks, suggest mitigation strategies, and ensure policy adherence.
  • Training: Conduct training programs on risk management, internal control, ethics, and compliance.
  • Due Diligence: Carry out due diligence programs for M&A, significant projects, and third-party entities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Institute annual processes to assess and enhance risk management, internal control, and compliance protocols.
  • Risk Assessment: Oversee the risk assessment process and track implementation of risk management action plans.
  • Policy Implementation: Coordinate and facilitate the enforcement of business ethics and compliance management policies.
  • Process Improvement: Implement initiatives to enhance risk management, internal control, and compliance processes.
  • Other Duties: Undertake additional assignments delegated by Corporate Compliance Management.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Education and Experience: Juris Doctor or equivalent degree with a license to practice law in at least one U.S.A. state (Arizona, California, Nevada).
  • Additional Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or similar field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications: Preferably postgraduate studies in Ethics and Compliance or International Compliance Certification, along with other relevant certifications.
  • Legal and Regulatory Knowledge: Proficient in the SOX legal framework, internal control mechanisms, antitrust regulations, environmental laws, and FCPA.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written English; conversational Spanish skills are advantageous.

  • Advanced Education: Advanced degree in relevant fields like Administration, Accounting, or Industrial Engineering.
