The Maintenance Technician will help all production equipment run effectively & efficiently, along with being an integral part of the Clariant Cargo & Device Protection team.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative/breakdown maintenance, installations, immediate repairs, etc.
- Read job specifications to determine required machine adjustments (i.e. setup, changeovers, repairs)
- Effective troubleshooting (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.)
- Works with production engineers to determine root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, developing troubleshooting guides, writing work instructions, effective documentation
- Setting up production machines to optimize the quality of product produced
- Assist in minimizing machine downtime by conducting preventative maintenance, and understanding the principles of reliability
- Have a mindset driven by customer satisfaction (Clariant production employees, end-use customers)
- Prepared to contribute technical skillset to all departments/projects when asked
- Contribute to driving a modern maintenance culture with the assistance of technology
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent are preferred
- Technical Degree and/or any Technical Certifications are a plus
- 1-5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience preferred
- Must be able to adapt to challenging situations while maintaining a professional demeanor
- The Ability to work independently and able to work overtime when necessary
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50+ pounds
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Programming & Controls Knowledge, Electrical & Mechanical Skills, Welding & Fabricating are all a major plus
