Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Knowles Corporation. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's support equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical and mechanical systems to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Installation and Connection: Install, connect, and diagnose various systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Knowledge and Expertise: Possess knowledge of machinery related to punch/ heated forming presses, glue dispensing, tape casting, compressors, and other equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure the safety of work areas.
  • Energy Efficiency: Ensure that equipment is being maintained in an energy-efficient, safe manner and minimize downtime.
  • Recognition and Elimination of Hazards: Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Unscheduled Maintenance: Perform unscheduled maintenance during production on equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Teamwork and Troubleshooting: Work independently or with a team to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 2-year technical degree or 3 years of experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Software Skills: Experience with using software on manufacturing equipment is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills.
  • Knowledge and Expertise: Good understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate forklift, scissors, and boom lifts up to 40 feet in height.
  • Understanding of Schematics: Ability to understand and read schematics.
  • Electrical and Programmable Logic: Ability to have programmable logic and understand electrical circuits.
