Job Overview
Summary The individual in this role reports to the Manufacturing Fabrication Manager and is accountable for preparing and painting manufactured parts. They are also responsible for loading/unloading the carousel as required and completing other assigned tasks.
- Move materials between storage and cleaning/painting stations
- Clean items based on specific requirements, ensuring proper paint adhesion
- Paint items according to specifications, performing touch-ups as needed
- Carry out additional assigned duties
Physical Requirements:
This role involves heavy lifting, continuous standing, walking, sitting, light lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and squatting.
Environmental Conditions:
This position may require work in various conditions including hot, humid, dry, dusty, and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret instructions
- Experience with material handling and paint spraying equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Capability to work with minimal supervision
Training Needs:
Certification in forklift operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must perform each essential duty satisfactorily with knowledge of company inventory control, material handling practices, and safety procedures. They should have the ability to operate various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and paint guns, as well as handle hand tools like grinders and sanders.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum Requirements
Proficiency in reading and writing at a 12th-grade level, one year of clerical experience, and the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Reasoning Ability
The ability to solve practical problems and handle different situations independently, interpreting various types of instructions.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of Human Resource and Payroll systems
Physical Demands
This role requires sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, and occasionally standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Work Environment
The work environment is moderately noisy.
