Therma is on the lookout for a seasoned Sheet Metal Estimator to join our crew. This role, based in the estimating department, provides crucial support to Therma's project management teams.

Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and timely sheet metal cost estimates for labor and materials on new construction, tenant improvement, or maintenance projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to draft time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with fellow estimators, project managers, engineers, detailers, and vendors.
- Manage project management teams' expectations through effective written and verbal communication.
- Utilize HVAC estimating software, like Highland Construction Software, Quote Soft, or Trimble AutoBid tools, to conduct project takeoffs.
- Verify the precision of all components within estimating workbook spreadsheets, ensuring correct labor hours, accurate labor rates, and other cost-related aspects.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Participate in job walks, bid reviews, and necessary meetings.
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in the construction or sheet metal industry.
- Background in estimating medium to large projects.
- Familiarity with SMACNA standards.
- Proficiency in Estimating software such as Trimble AutoBid, Highland Construction Software, Quote Soft, etc.
- Strong skills in Microsoft suite applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Ability to interpret customer requests for quotes and communicate effectively to define requirements and expectations.
- Experienced in consolidating all costs associated with fabrication and installation.
- Demonstrate effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
- Capable of collaborating within a team setting.
- Prior exposure to Design Build projects within the commercial sector.
- Advanced knowledge in HVAC codes.
- College degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Adobe PDF, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Revit.
