Job Summary

Pico Propane and Fuels is a leading provider of propane, fuel, and lubricants, dedicated to serving residential, commercial, and agricultural customers across Texas and New Mexico. With a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service, we are committed to helping our clients meet their energy needs efficiently and effectively.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Business Development Manager to lead our commercial sales efforts across the Texas Hill Country. This role will focus on expanding our market presence in Austin and surrounding areas, including Travis, Hays, Comal, Blanco, Kendall, Gillespie, and Kerr counties. The ideal candidate will also work closely with the home builder community to promote and sell gas appliances and accessories, including fireplaces, log sets, gas ranges, ovens, hoods, outdoor kitchen appliances, water heaters, and standby residential generators.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new commercial sales opportunities within the assigned territory. Develop and execute strategic plans to increase market share in Austin and the surrounding counties. Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, including construction companies, restaurants, and industrial businesses. Home Builder Partnerships: Establish and nurture relationships with home builders and contractors in the region. Promote and sell gas appliances and accessories to the home builder community. Provide product knowledge and training to builders and their sales teams. Sales Management: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and sales performance. Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs as set by the Director of Sales. Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management. Customer Engagement: Conduct site visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective and existing clients. Address customer inquiries, provide product recommendations, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the customer service and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and local market dynamics. Provide insights and recommendations for new products and services based on market needs. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote Pico Propane and Fuels.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED is required and/or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the propane, fuel, or energy sectors

Skills and/or Abilities:

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth Strong understanding of the Texas Hill Country market, particularly Austin and surrounding areas Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory

Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and an insurable driving record.

Physical Requirements:
