Position Summary:

The Director of Creative Media will act as the design coordinator for the football department, overseeing the development and expansion of The University of Tulsa Football brand, and supervising the football main social media platforms.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Graphic Design: Produce graphic design materials for various uses, aiming to enhance the visibility and image of The University of Tulsa Football program
  • In-House Materials: Develop team-related materials such as brochures, stationary, schedules, etc., utilizing expertise in printing, digital photography, videography, and motion graphics; coordinate photo sessions of players
  • Recruiting Materials: Design engaging graphics and infographics to promote Tulsa Football effectively; establish a systematic approach for creating recruiting resources, including mailings, social media content, and personalized campaigns
  • Social Media: Oversee and manage content on the football department's primary social media channels, including devising annual strategies and plans; collaborate with video, communications, and marketing teams to ensure regular updates and fan engagement
  • Game Day: Capture the game day atmosphere through photography to generate content showcasing the distinctive college football experience; gather material during games for recruiting, marketing, and coaching purposes
  • Perform any other assigned duties as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in college athletics
  • Proficiency in Photography, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects
  • Thorough understanding of social media platforms and emerging trends
  • Outstanding design, communication, and social media analysis abilities
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop an efficient social media design strategy to meet objectives
  • Strong creative skills to elevate the department's identity
  • Dedicated and proactive work ethic
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
