Job Summary

Cox Media Group is seeking a skilled Photographer/Videographer Media Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our news gathering team, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality visual content for our news broadcasts.

Responsibilities

• Gather news content as a Photographer and Editor, often in breaking news environments with tight deadlines.
• Operate microwave, satellite trucks, and streaming technology, as well as FTP solutions on a daily basis.
• Have a working knowledge of editorial standards and strong news judgment.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Have a working knowledge of Panasonic P2 cameras and recorders.
• Be proficient on Edius, ENPS, and BitCentral systems.
• Have a working knowledge of Microwave truck operation.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of television experience is preferred.
• Be a self-reliant, creative photojournalist who is a team player and has the resourcefulness to improvise and solve problems when required.
• Be able to work all shifts as assigned, including overnights, nights, and weekends.
