The Opportunity:


The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs for various projects, such as branding materials, advertising, social media graphics, and website layouts.

The Graphic Designer should have experience in the Adobe Creative Suite and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation is the largest provider of dredging services in the United States.

The Company employs experienced civil, ocean and mechanical engineering staff in its estimating, production and project management functions. In its over 133-year history, the Company has never failed to complete a marine project. Great Lakes owns and operates the largest and most diverse fleet in the U.S. dredging industry, comprised of approximately 200 specialized vessels. Great Lakes has a disciplined training program for engineers that ensures experienced-based performance as they advance through Company operations. Responsibilities:

  • Graphic design (85%)
  • Website updates and postings (5%)
  • Social media (10%)
  • Create PowerPoint slides for executive team
  • Graphic design support for internal and external marketing campaigns
  • Create flyers, posters, advertisements, newsletters
  • Design infographics
  • Layout and design of company calendar, annual report, sustainability report
  • Social media graphics
  • Create branded templates using Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with acute attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with branding, typography, photography, and color theory
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, design, and develop creative solutions to technical information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with WordPress, HTML/CSS, and web design is a plus
  • B2B and/or government contracting (B2G) experience preferred
