Teaching Opportunity in Graphic Design

We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Faculty member to teach Graphic Design courses at San Jacinto College.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Graphic Design courses to students at the university or college level.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the College.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • One year of teaching experience in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of demonstrated practical work experience in design or related fields.
  • Evidence of an ongoing and active professional work record presented via a portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Two years of teaching experience beyond graduate school.
  • Expertise in two or more of the following areas: Print Design and Typography, Data Storytelling, Responsive Web Design, and Information Architecture.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.

San Jacinto College offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
