End User Computing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The End User Computing Specialist position's primarily responsibility is to provide first level support for Foundation Software, Payroll4Construction, Estimating Edge, McCormick Systems and Workmax employees. The End User Computing Specialist will collaborate closely with members of the team to maintain a stable desktop environment that supports the business while proposing and implementing new solutions that enhance business capability and user productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivers IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, or resolutions.
- Clearly communicate status on problems as well as knowing when to escalate service requests that are out of scope to the appropriate teams using the established escalation procedure.
- Champions EUC process and operational improvements and best practices.
- Works with other team members to implement the desktop strategy /roadmap.
- Provides desk-side, phone, and/or remote support for IT or ServiceDesk related issues in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
- Installs, tests, and configures new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Performs timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
- Performs password resets, disables users and computer accounts, and updates group membership changes.
- Manages PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software.
- Troubleshoots minor hardware (computer and printers) and software malfunctions and corrects them as directed.
- Maintains inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
- Identifies missing knowledge or proven solutions for addition to the knowledgebase in ServiceDesk.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent people skills. Flexible, positive, and team-oriented attitude; able to work collaboratively and effectively with other groups and teams.
- Strong organizational skills; Must be able to multitask without sacrificing attention to details.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities.
- Able to manage dynamic and high-pressure environment with focus on success and productivity.
- Basic Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
- Ability to break problems down and use a logical process of elimination.
- Must be initiative-taking and have a desire to learn and master new skills.
