Amida is looking for a
Data Quality Specialist to join our team in
Washington DC (hybrid) or a remote location.


What you will do:

  • You will provide the business, process, and technical guidance necessary to ensure that data quality teams, metadata management teams, and our clients are on a path to success
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of data quality policies and procedures, implementation of data quality tools, federation of data quality results with metadata catalogs, and effective communication with data owners and stakeholders
  • Assist in the implementation and management of an Enterprise Data Quality tool for a client with hundreds of data systems
  • Provide experiencebased guidance and build consensus between partnering teams resulting in production data quality tool usage
  • Understand and own documentation of the Data Quality tool standards and processes
  • Enable effective data quality stewardship with SOPs, training, and tutorials
  • Create documentation with the technical team to ease adoption and onboarding by data owners and their proxies
  • Manage usage of nonsensitive data quality results in dashboarding tools and federation of results into an enterprise data catalog

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree AND
  • 5+ years of data governance or data quality experience
  • 2+ years of data quality experience with a COTS tool (Collibra DQ or OWL are strongly preferred, but other peers are acceptable)
  • A firm understanding of how to generate, assess, and store data quality results
  • Experience writing custom SQL and other related database queries and analyses to support DQ findings
  • A history of resolving validated data quality results findings with various upstream and downstream teams
  • Experience with individual contributor project management and task management skills in agile and waterfall environments
  • Polished written/verbal communications skills including the ability to train and mentor client data quality tool users
  • Familiarity with building and delivering presentations
  • Awareness of and ability to navigate the largeorganization politics of many of our clients

Preferred Skills:

  • Data architecture experience
  • 5+ years of data quality experience with a COTS tool (Collibra DQ or OWL are strongly preferred, but other peers are acceptable)
