JOB SUMMARY:
The VP of New Business manages the successful activation of growth strategies across Fusion92, collaborating with cross-discipline leads to win and convert competitive new business opportunities that drive healthy incremental revenue and strategic new client acquisition.
This individual should be a strategist at heart with a proven track record of engaging and building relationships with key marketing decision-makers at Fortune 500 brands. The VP of New Business must understand the complex marketing challenges of our prospective clients and connect Fusion92's unique value proposition and solutions to drive confidence and trust in our future partnership.
In addition, the VP of New Business is responsible for evaluating, qualifying, and crafting differentiated proposals that increase Fusion92's right-to-win. They will work with finance and Client Service leads to help shape competitive proposals that demonstrate the value of Fusion92's offerings in marketing transformation, including digital experience, product, data solutions, marketing technologies, media, content, campaigns, and shopper marketing for standout brands. Additionally, they will strive to accelerate negotiations to close.
Location:
Candidates must be located in Illinois, Texas, Colorado, or Michigan. For individuals based in our Michigan and Illinois locations, this will be a hybrid role, requiring both in-office and remote work. For candidates in Texas and Colorado, this position will be fully remote.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development of sales strategies for net-new business with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Close new business deals after initial meetings with potential new clients.
  • Ability to sell digitally native marketing strategies, data-driven marketing, performance media, social, andmartech capabilities.
  • Accountable for win/loss ratio and healthy business development financials.
  • Develop a relentless, collaborative, unbeatable business development team.
  • Create a culture of learning, honing, and optimizing in order to drive growth.
  • Maintain productive relationships with pitch consultants and other key ecosystem partners to drive leads.
  • Build a library of selling assets and best practices.
  • Represent and sell the full suite of Fusion92's services.
  • Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events, and outbound marketing.


Requirements
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Successful track record (10+ years) of building business for a digital agency, marketing transformation, or digital business transformation consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of constructing lead generation strategies, lead nurturing, for performance marketing, data-driven optimization, martech, digital marketing transformation, advertising channels, and social media clients.
  • Ability to speak to all levels of prospective clients: strategic and tactical decision makers.
  • Proven experience in building and leading a cross-functional team in the pitch/business development process.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to engaging with C-level digital marketing or marketing transformation executives.
  • Ability to drive consensus, alignment, and decision-making quickly.
  • Capability to coach and mentor junior business development and account management team members.
  • Ability to understand macro business issues and articulate value-generating opportunities supported by Fusion92's capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.


The hiring range for this discipline within our industry is $150,000 to $175,000. Where an employee is paid within this range will depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, years of experience, education, internal pay structure, and other contributing factors.
