Job Description:
  • This position handles requests for collateral records from external facilities required by Evaluation Unit examiners for court-ordered forensic evaluations.
  • Responsibilities include processing incoming records, updating clinicians, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
  • Validating and fulfilling court-ordered record requests, potentially testifying in court regarding forensic records.
  • Work involves applying knowledge of medical record practices, policies, and regulations.


Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in health information or medical record technology
  • Experience as a Medical Record Examiner 8, 9, E10 as outlined
  • Certification by the American Health Information Management Association

  • Background check and criminal records review are mandatory for employment.
  • Candidates previously in this role may inquire about reinstatement.
