NOTE: you must also have a background in architecture, or related field, to be considered for this position. A portfolio, or samples of your work, will be required. Professionals seeking general project management opportunities will not be considered.

At INTEC Group, we're about two things: people and design. More specifically, we're about how design affects people. We believe design has the power to enhance the human condition, and we are passionate about doing just that.

Your Role

INTEC is a mid-sized firm that provides its staff with the project opportunities and growth potential of a larger company along with the ability to be more intimately involved in projects, as is often anticipated in smaller firms. As a Project Manager at INTEC Group, you are the go-to resource for your team. You are responsible for preparing and reviewing schedules, managing internal and external resources, developing and managing budgets and ensuring deliverables are high quality and in compliance of the contract. You follow codes and standards by the book but have a solution-oriented approach to problem solving when working with staff and clients. And you will get your hands dirty – not just helping with the quality control of deliverables but also brainstorming, sketching, philosophizing, designing and interacting with your team on a variety of levels and in different ways to fully immerse yourself within our holistic approach to design.

  • Collaborate with other Project Managers and Directors to efficiently allocate team resources and complete weekly staffing assignments and monthly projections.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, consultants, and permitting officials; successfully manage client expectations, team communication and oversight of consultant coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex design challenges.
  • Perform a variety of construction administration services including punch list walk-thrus, review of shop drawings and change orders, conduct field observations, prepare meeting minutes and respond to payment application requests.
  • Provide ongoing QA/QC of project deliverables, including code review.
  • Make decisions that ensure both profitability and design quality.
  • Actively mentor the staff; provide performance feedback, as needed or required.
  • Be willing to travel, if necessary and as required, both locally and domestically.
  • Maintain ongoing, positive and productive client relationships through successful project delivery.
  • Work hard but play hard as well...actively contributing to office activities, cultural initiatives and learning opportunities.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role include:

  • Professional degree (Masters or Bachelor) in Architecture, or related field. from an accredited school.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of industry-related experience focused on base building and commercial core and shell projects; commercial interiors experience is a plus.
  • Registered architect licensure preferred, but not required.

  • Strong, comprehensive knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications and construction techniques.
  • Team-oriented, with strong leadership thorough and relationship management skills; willing to work collaboratively with project team members.
