Job Description

Project Manager - Residential Remodeling

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager in Residential Remodeling, you will be entrusted with a range of critical tasks to ensure the success of our projects. Your responsibilities include:

Leadership and Team Development: Oversee and mentor crew members, providing guidance, training, and fostering their professional growth.

Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction throughout the remodeling process.

Problem Solving: Address and resolve complex remodeling issues that may arise during construction, ensuring projects stay on track.

Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors, overseeing their performance and contractual obligations.

Jobsite Accountability: Ensure jobsite safety, cleanliness, and security, protecting the property from damage during construction.

Financial Oversight: Maintain accountability for the profitability of remodeling projects, working to optimize financial performance.

Process Improvement: Collaborate with leadership to enhance team processes and streamline project workflows.

Pre-construction Assistance: Assist during the design and pre-construction phases, including bidding, contract preparation, and budgeting.

Material Procurement: Manage material purchasing and bidding processes, finalize subcontract agreements and contracts.

Residential Remodeling Construction Management: Lead preconstruction meetings with clients and project teams, attend weekly project meetings, and oversee site meetings with clients.

Reporting and Documentation: Write weekly status updates, document change orders, and update project schedules as needed.

Accounting Processes: Complete various accounting tasks, including percent completes, client invoicing, and subcontractor payment approvals.

Project Completion: Ensure a strong finish to projects by managing in-house walk-throughs, final walk-throughs with clients, and overseeing punch list completion and warranty issues.

Requirements:

Expertise in Residential Construction: Minimum of 7 years of experience in residential construction

Supervisory Experience: 4+ years of experience supervising construction scopes of work, with a track record of leadership and team development.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with employees, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of remodeling trade installation requirements, OSHA safety regulations, and construction quality control standards.

Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to handle multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and creatively solve problems.

Proficiency in Software: Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
