TR Leader Position Summary
As a Therapeutic Recreation Leader at Good Shepherd, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities that enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents.
Your role will involve creating and executing engaging programs that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity within a safe and supportive environment.
TR Leader Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational programs tailored to the interests and needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create activity plans that support residents therapeutic goals.
- Coordinate and lead group activities, oneonone sessions, and outings that encourage socialization and engagement.
- Assess residents' abilities and preferences to customize activity plans that cater to their individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in recreational activities.
- Assess incoming residents, along with managing paperwork for residents who already reside in the building.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of activity spaces and equipment.
Essential Job Requirements
Education:
High School diploma or GED
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language
Experience:
Previous activities experience preferred
