We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Team Leader to join our team at Helio Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for promoting patients' health by developing day-to-day management through the direction and development of staff, as well as collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional teammates to provide support for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide services to meet the different needs of clients through coordination with the medical team.
- Supervise medical and day-to-day operations of substance use disorders/mental health services.
- Enforce adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations.
- Maintain nursing staff by interviewing, training, supervising, orienting, and training nurses.
- Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching and counseling patients and their families individually and/or in groups and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills.
- Protect patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols, enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Perform Quality Assurance activities.
- Provide services according to agency policies, procedures, program guidelines, and governmental regulations.
- Monitor provision of services when assigned.
- Assure program record documentation compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
- Must be a valid and active LPN, licensed with NYS.
- One to three years of clinical experience appropriate to program preferred.
- Minimum three years clinical experience in an appropriate program setting.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver's License.
