General Description

Issuing, testing, and repairing of protective equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To have a thorough knowledge of the operation of all lest Laboratory equipment and the testing procedures and standards to be followed in testing the various types of protective equipment and tools.
  • To record all tests results and to prepare shipping papers, periodic reports, and other laboratory records.
  • To report to the Director of Safety all cases of unusual damage to protective equipment.
  • Io maintain an adequate supply of standard safety items, including first aid equipment and to fill requisitions for this material.
  • To be responsible for the overall operation of the protective equipment testing laboratory.
  • To have thorough knowledge of the Company's operating standards, policies, and directives pertaining to the assignment.
  • To have a thorough knowledge of the Safety Instructions affecting the work and to perform the work accordingly.
  • To perform other appropriate duties as directed.
