We are seeking a driven Import Coordinator Assistant for our Corporate Office in South Hackensack. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented person who is a problem solver, takes initiative, possesses great communication skills, team player, has the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice, and enjoys the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals to join our team.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
- 2 + years of experience in the logistics & transportation fields.
- Proficient in English.
- Be able to work flexible hours when needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Personal and professional approach and demeanor.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute within a team setting.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Highly proficient technological skills especially in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize work according to urgency and importance.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of bookings (sea, land and air).
- Knowledge of customs relations & reports.
- Knowledge of freight cost calculators.
- Knowledge of EDI.
- Recognize all shipments and checking for discrepancies, shortages, etc.
