We are seeking a driven Import Coordinator Assistant for our Corporate Office in South Hackensack. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented person who is a problem solver, takes initiative, possesses great communication skills, team player, has the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice, and enjoys the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals to join our team.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
  • 2 + years of experience in the logistics & transportation fields.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Be able to work flexible hours when needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Personal and professional approach and demeanor.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute within a team setting.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Highly proficient technological skills especially in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize work according to urgency and importance.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of bookings (sea, land and air).
  • Knowledge of customs relations & reports.
  • Knowledge of freight cost calculators.
  • Knowledge of EDI.
  • Recognize all shipments and checking for discrepancies, shortages, etc.
