Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Applications Analyst-Ambulatory is a key member of the Epic Ambulatory and Community Connect project team. With a focus on improving patient care through effective use of technology, this role bridges clinical departments and Information Services. Responsibilities include developing optimized workflow processes, system integration, and providing user support. Epic Certification is mandatory for this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Designs, tests, and implements application software to enhance operational processes
  • Performs troubleshooting and debugging to ensure seamless functionality
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders for technical and clinical support
  • Adheres to technology standards and develops user requirements
  • Identifies best practice workflows for process optimization
  • Manages system development and project methodologies
  • Executes tasks for hardware and software implementations

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Analyses data conversion needs and ensures data integrity
  • Contributes to the budgeting process for applications
  • Participates in on-call responsibilities and other assigned duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of experience as an Epic Certified analyst
  • Two years of relevant experience in clinical or information technology fields
  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Technical aptitude for information services technology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years experience as an Associate Applications Analyst
  • Training in project management and process improvement
  • Direct user support and application testing experience
