Job Description

Software technology company offering services through software online (SaaS) is in need of an accounts payable manager to ensure timely and precise expense recording, payments, cash management, annual financial audit support, and weekly reporting of payment needs. Salary range $100k to $115K per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversee critical vendor accounts
  • Utilize three-way matching process for invoice coding and recording
  • Lead month-end accrual analysis
  • Utilize Sage Intact and integrated AP systems' accounts payable software
  • Accurately record all accounts payable transactions in a timely manner
  • Adhere to accounting and tax regulations and standards
  • Investigate any accounts payable issues as they arise
  • Cultivate relationships with key vendors and colleagues
  • Hire and onboard accounts payable clerks
  • Manage and train the accounts payable team
  • Ensure accurate and timely payments with proper documentation
  • Develop and refine accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Provide support for external audits with payment and expense accrual detail and analyses

Work Hours and Benefits: This full-time accounts payable manager role is entirely remote. The company offers medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance. Other benefits include two weeks of paid time off, 8 to 10 paid holidays annually, and performance bonuses.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum two years of experience supporting annual financial audits
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous
  • Proficient in organizing electronic records and documents
  • Familiar with various web-based applications like Slack, Box, Gmail, etc.
  • Capable of motivating remote teams with strong leadership
  • Demonstrate critical and analytical thinking
  • Proactive in problem anticipation and resolution
  • Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills

Education, Experience & Requirements: A college education can substitute for experience and vice versa,

  • Dedicated and quiet workspace with internet access
  • Ability to work independently for most of the day
  • Minimum five years of accounts payable experience with at least two clerks under management
  • Experience with SaaS vendor services
  • Preferably Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP)
  • Significant experience can replace a degree and CAPP certification
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is desired
