Job Title: Legal Analyst at Agency X

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and recommendations on legal issues within agency's scope
  • Act as a liaison between the agency and Department of Law

  • Prepare and administer grant and contract proposals

  • Develop and oversee administrative processes for legal compliance
  • Identify and resolve legal problems
  • Draft amendments to contracts and letters related to legal procedures
  • Implement due process procedures and appeals processes
  • Act as a resource to answer queries and assess reimbursements/recoupments
  • Supervise and direct the work of others
  • Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university AND license to practice law in the State of Georgia
  • Eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination
  • Reciprocity AND two years of relevant legal experience
  • Two years of experience required at the lower-level Attorney 2 (LEP021)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Experience in Juvenile Justice and Advocacy
  • Experience with employment law, worker's compensation, and contract review

In addition to the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the preferred qualifications.
