Job Description

  • Collaborate with Data & Technical architects, integration, and engineering teams to define inbound/outbound data pipeline requirements, conceptualize, and implement solutions.
  • Assist in evaluating and adopting current and future data technologies to meet Zscaler's evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with IT, applications engineering, enterprise data engineering, and business data partner teams to outline data source requirements.
  • Analyze and improve data source quality, develop data preparation tools, and construct data pipelines for integration into Zscaler's Snowflake data warehouse.
  • Enhance existing data integrations, models, and views while developing new features to address business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Data Platform Lead to establish data management standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated on next-generation technologies and data capabilities to enhance data engineering solutions.
  • Develop large-scale data pipelines using modern cloud and big data architectures.
Qualifications/Background:
  • 4+ years of experience in data warehouse design and development.
  • Expertise in building data pipelines to integrate business applications (e.g., Salesforce, Netsuite, Google Analytics) with Snowflake.
  • Proficient in data modeling techniques (Dimensional) and writing efficient queries on extensive datasets.
  • Hands-on experience in Python for API data extraction and pipeline creation.
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Python/Snowpark/Scala, ML libraries.
  • Experience with ELT tools like Matillion, Fivetran, Talend, IDMC, data transformational tool DBT, and AWS services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes, git versioning, Snowflake concepts, SQL optimization, and data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data orchestration workflows using tools like Apache Airflow, Prefect.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, team player, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
