Purpose

The incumbent will cover US corporate borrowers, which may include, but is not limited to, the following industry groups: technology, healthcare, and general commercial & industrial.

The role will ensure that specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the Bank's business strategies and objectives; and that all credit activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.

The position will be located in Houston and report to the Director, U.S. Credit Risk - Corporates.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of individual credits across multiple corporate industries
  • Assist in the process of assessing, adjudicating and monitoring both individual credits and the coverage portfolio
  • Product coverage is broad and will include all products that have credit risk, such as loans, loan products, derivatives, commodities and banking products
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Identify risk mitigation opportunities where appropriate
  • Assist in preparing information for and responding to questions from regulatory authorities and audit
  • Ensure that all credit adjudication(s) and daily practices adhere to Bank policies and procedures
  • Understand and implement the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in daytoday activities and decisions
  • Coordinate and work with Head Office Global Risk Management when necessary in matters related to the presentation of the global view of credit risk related to the portfolios
  • Participate in special projects within U.S. Credit Risk Management related to broader strategic initiatives and the development of portfolio management and reporting capabilities

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Master's degree, recognized professional designation in a specialized area of finance or business, or equivalent, is an asset.
  • 25 years of experience in financial and credit risk analysis;
  • Understanding of the Bank's lending policies, procedures and practices;
  • Understanding of credit risk, and the structures and protections required for the exercise of credit analysis, including knowledge of lending and derivative products and associated documentation;
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting including financial projections and sensitivities; computer literacy;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Proactive decisionmaker; must handle high volume of credit intensive work; must take initiative in a highly time sensitive environment;
  • Collaborative, strong sense of teamwork;
  • Highly organized with an ability to work in a fastpaced, multistakeholder environment and manage multiple priorities;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks; Creative problem solving and the ability to motivate others and implement new solutions.
