Develop and maintain Quality department including personnel.
Oversee technical job training and documentation for Quality Technicians.
Act as chairman of the Food Safety Committee.
Conduct Monthly Food Safety Audits and compile, assign and verify Monthly Food Safety Audit Deficiencies.
Participate in the Management Review Meetings.
Oversee the 'Pest Management' program and communicate trends / issues to the management team as needed.
Implement and maintain Prerequisite, Food Safety and Quality Programs.
Oversee the 'Measuring Devices' program.
Maintain the 'Formal Release' program.
Establish and maintain product sampling matrices, product specifications and sight samples, communicate revisions to necessary personnel as needed.
Responsible to oversee annual employee training program.
Oversee environmental monitoring program and corrective action plan as needed.
Composite appropriate samples for various testing at an outside laboratory.
Responsibility to identify food safety and/or product integrity issues and to initiate and record actions for issues reported.

Responsibility to communicate and review any information deemed necessary, including but not limited to, food safety, product integrity, formulas, specifications and/or changes, with customers.

Authority to purchase necessary chemicals and lubricants.
Responsibility to maintain overall plant sanitation.
Responsible for verifying a preventive control measure, in this position's absence, refer to 'In Case of Absence' above.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience / Qualifications Required:
High School DiplomaBachelor's degree in food science or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing preferred.
