Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing project planning tasks in assigned projects, assisting in preparation of tenders as required, developing bid plans and execution plans/schedules for FPSO new builds, conversion projects, and modification projects.
  • Responsible for the development of project schedules, covering all phases of Projects from concept development, tender, bids, FEEDs, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, execution, modification to completion, and contributing to the overall project plan.
o Responsible for organization and preparation of project progress reports, and support

the project manager in monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting performance.

o Actively forecast and reschedule project plans and schedules, including formal baseline revisions.

o Carry out Schedule Risk Analyses using Primavera Risk Analyzer.

  • Ensure that all relevant Client and BWE planning requirements are applied as required.
  • Review Contractor's planning procedures for planning, progress tracking, and contractor detailed schedules.
  • Manage and supervise project planning personnel.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for new employees, less experienced colleagues, and consultants.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of standard execution schedules for FPSO new builds, conversion projects, and modification projects.
  • Carry out analysis and benchmarking to optimize plans and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain historical data of engineering/construction norms for use in bid proposals and future benchmarking initiatives.
Requirements

Qualification Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
Experience

  • Ideally, 10+ years of engineering/construction experience within the offshore industry, including Project Controls with a specific focus on Planning.
  • Previous FPSO experience will be greatly valued.
  • International and multi-cultural experience will be preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in planning software packages, in particular Primavera.
Interpersonal Skills

  • Team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
  • Analytical, organized with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver in a high-pressure, fast-paced project environment.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary/multinational environment.
Knowledge

  • Thorough understanding of other relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Familiar with engineering & project management systems.
  • Familiar with shipyard and fabrication yard activities.
  • Familiar with Commissioning and Offshore operations.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Good knowledge of planning software packages (Primavera).
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
Other

  • The position may require temporary assignments at project premises or onboard units.
  • The position may require heavy travel and long working hours in peak periods.
