Duties

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:
  • Advise the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) leadership regarding attendance at meetings of Inter-agency Policy Committees and other White House-led and inter-agency bodies such as the Federal CIO Council, Federal Chief Security Officer Council, and Privacy Council.
  • Establish productive working relationships with White House officials responsible for inter-agency policy and governance.
  • Research and inform various Dept of Energy (DOE) communities of updated policies, initiatives, and activities of the potential cross equities.
  • Represent Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at relevant White House sub-IPC and working group meetings to maintain knowledge of Dept of Energy (DOE) officials who direct, influence, coordinate, implement, or support Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) mission to ensure the flow of information between the White House, the inter-agency, and the Department, including coordinating with appropriate DOE office.
  • Develop materials for Dept of Energy (DOE) senior leadership's attendance meetings to ensure that they reflect the Departmental and Chief Information Officer (CIO) objectives and address the White House and legislative prerequisites.
  • Prepare the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to brief the Secretary and the Deputy Secretary on White House Principals Committee and Deputies Committee meetings, and other high-level meetings.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 2 of 3 of the following:

  1. Representing an Agency by partnering with government, industry, or academic partners on collaborative information technology/cybersecurity innovations.
  2. Conducting analysis on administrative policies and programs which advance the Information Technology (IT)/cybersecurity infrastructure.
  3. Providing input to proposed IT policies and assess impact of proposed policies on Department of Energy interests.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.
