Overview

The National Security Division (NSD) plays a pivotal role in coordinating the Department's initiatives aimed at countering terrorism and safeguarding national security. NSD oversees the enforcement of federal criminal laws pertaining to counterterrorism and counterespionage, except those assigned to other divisions.

Job Responsibilities

As a Management & Program Analyst, you will be integral to ensuring the fair and impartial administration of justice. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting thorough analyses of existing oversight programs using both qualitative and quantitative methods, providing actionable recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Preparing detailed reports for senior leadership on the implications of proposed legislative changes affecting current reporting obligations.
  • Formulating, preparing, or defending resource requests for oversight initiatives utilizing diverse statistical methodologies.
  • Establishing policies and procedures for the systematic tracking of case records and various data types.
  • Compiling program-related data on short notice for management and integrating this information into regular reports.
Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or National status is mandatory.
  • Completion of a pre-employment security investigation and background check, including drug screening.
  • Potential requirement to complete a probationary or trial period.
  • Selective Service registration is required for males born on or after December 31, 1959.
  • Must meet all eligibility criteria throughout the hiring process.
  • Financial disclosure may be required upon selection in accordance with federal ethics guidelines.
  • Additional selections may occur from this announcement if vacancies arise in other offices.
Qualifications

To qualify for the Management & Program Analyst position, candidates must demonstrate specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 or GS-12 grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, focusing on program analysis related to case management support for organizational operations.
