We find that people with military, farming, mechanic, grocery store stocking, carpentry, and landscaping do particularly well in our pest control technician role because they enjoy working with their hands and like the outdoors and animals.

Overtime Opportunities: Technicians are eligible for approximately 200+ hours of overtime per year during busy season. Compensated at time and a half.

Schedule:Monday to Friday, with occasional Sundays during warmer months

Company Vehicle: Provided for travel between customer locations. Take home vehicle after 1 year.

Technician Job Responsibilities:

As a Pest Control Technician, your duties will include:

  • Talking with customers to understand and address pest problems
  • Inspecting properties for pest entry points and performing exclusion work
  • Placing monitoring stations and performing pesticide treatments
  • Driving between customer locations on your assigned route
  • Performing preventive pest control services and sales stops

What We're Looking For:

Excellent customer service skills. This is a top priority for all employees

  • Ability to problemsolve. Our technicians put on their detective hats and are persistent until they find the issue
  • Attention to detail. Check out our reviews online our technicians really CARE about what they do
  • Technical proficiency with handheld/smartphones, computers, etc. Your schedule and notes about each account from previous technician visits are provided on a work phone.
  • Physical ability. This position requires the ability to do physical work in all temperatures and weather conditions while maintaining the schedule for each service.
  • Driving. Full drivers license (not provisional or suspended) is required.

Training:

  • Onemonth professionally designed training program with a field supervisor.
  • Combination of classroom and inthe field training
  • Stipend provided for commute during training if training in Owings Mills is necessary
