The Senior Software Asset Management Manager plays a key role at Genesys, overseeing the efficient management of software licenses and assets across the organization. Collaborating with different departments, stakeholders, and budget managers, this position ensures compliance with software license agreements, optimizes software usage, and negotiates strategic contracts with software vendors. The Senior Software Asset Manager focuses on minimizing costs through effective asset management practices and application rationalization. Reporting to the VP of Procurement, this role works closely with the Genesys Finance Organization and maintains a strong partnership with the IT department.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory of software assets deployed across the organization.
- Monitor software license usage and ensure compliance with agreements.
- Manage and prevent SaaS application sprawl.
- Coordinate with various teams to review compliance and mitigate risks.
- Analyze software usage data to optimize licenses and reduce costs.
- Negotiate favorable terms with software vendors.
- Implement automation to streamline software processes.
- Provide training to internal stakeholders on best practices.
- Stay informed about licensing models and pricing structures.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in software asset management or Technology and Software Strategic Sourcing.
- Strong understanding of software licensing models and agreements.
- Knowledge of IT asset management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CITAM).
- Experience with software asset management tools.
