Collections Specialist


LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Collections Specialist for a client in Tempe, Arizona on a contract-to-hire basis. This role would provide the right person with the opportunity to grow and develop their skills in collections and other areas within the non-clinical healthcare field.

The Collections Specialist is responsible for the collection of insurance data and payments to the client. The primary duties of the role are to maintain a database of insurance policy information and to maintain the relationship between client and insurance company to ensure prompt payments. Responsibilities:

  • Review and process requests for payment to Insurance companies
  • Update and maintain the database system with new patient, payment, and insurance information
  • Communicate with insurance companies and clients to clarify and resolve payment issues

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with insurance policies
  • Experience learning processes, procedures, and software quickly and independently
  • Ability to be accurate and timely in meeting deadlines

Skills:

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in written and verbal forms
  • Comfortable working independently or closely with a team

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of Collections experience

Employment Type: Full-time, Contract to Hire

Pay between $19 - $23/hr depending on experience.
