Description:
The job of an Exercise Physiologist at River's Edge involves working at the Live Well Fitness Center with Cardiac Rehab patients and gym community members.
This role includes implementing the cardiac rehabilitation program and ensuring proper use of exercise equipment and routines.
Essential Functions:
- Interview participants to gather vital signs, oxygen saturation, and medical history for program eligibility assessment.
- Develop and oversee individual exercise programs for cardio health participants.
- Supervise and analyze blood pressures before, during, and after exercise sessions.
- Educate patients on risk factors and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain accurate participant records following relevant standards.
- Report participant progress and issues to healthcare providers.
- Conduct aerobic, strength, flexibility, and Parkinson's Disease classes.
- Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and equipment use.
- Assist with behavior modification classes like stress management and weight control.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Exercise Physiology.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS (American Heart Association).
- Proficiency in analyzing cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
- CCRP certification preferred, required within one year of hire.
Summary:
River's Edge is looking to fill two Exercise Physiologist positions at the Live Well Fitness Center and Cardiac Rehab.
.1 FTE on-call position.
.6 FTE (48 hours per two weeks) position with flexible daytime hours, no weekends, or holidays.
Compensation details:
Hourly Wage.
