Job Opportunity: Compliance Officer

We are looking for a qualified Compliance Officer to manage the compliance program for our diverse medical group across multiple locations. Your role will involve developing and implementing policies to ensure adherence to various regulations, educating staff, monitoring compliance, leading investigations, and reporting activities to the Board of Directors.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures covering various aspects of compliance such as fraud, HIPAA, conflicts of interest, and IT usage.
  • Update policies to align with federal and state regulations.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory matters and ensure distribution of relevant information.
  • Train employees on compliance topics and enforce standards consistently.
  • Detect and address compliance issues promptly.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits to meet legal requirements.
  • Act as the HIPAA Privacy Officer and manage compliance communication channels.
  • Regularly report compliance status to the Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance.
  • Deep understanding of federal and state healthcare laws, especially fraud and privacy regulations.
  • Proven skills in policy development, training, and monitoring.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like nursing, business, or healthcare management.
  • Preferably hold healthcare compliance certifications.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
